As a second-generation leader, Joe has guided Kokolakis’ evolution from a family contractor into a modern, specialized builder — all while preserving the people-first culture and values that have defined the company for generations. After earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from SUNY Stony Brook and a doctorate from Emory University School of Law, Joe brought a rare combination of legal rigor and hands-on construction knowledge to the company, becoming a licensed general contractor himself. 

As President, Joe has championed the long-term vision behind Kokolakis’ growth: deepening its expertise in complex, mission-critical work, expanding into new regions, and creating an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that turns every team member into a stakeholder in the company’s success. For Joe, that growth has never come at the expense of culture. “Our culture is everything,” he says, and he sees his role as much about stewardship as strategy, building a company where, as he puts it, “by working together, there’s nothing we can’t overcome.”

Rod has played a key role in transforming Kokolakis into a more professionally managed organization, helping build the systems, departments, and culture that position the company to compete on expertise and value rather than price alone. After earning a civil engineering technology degree from Farmingdale State College and a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of Florida, Rod rose through nearly every role in the company before being named Vice President in 2018, and today leads corporate operations and strategy as Executive Vice President — overseeing everything from preconstruction to employee benefits and business development. 

Rod is guided by the belief that Kokolakis should win work based on the value it brings, not simply the lowest bid, and he has been intentional about preserving the company’s family culture even as it grows into a more professionally managed, employee-owned organization.

Bill started his career at Kokolakis as a superintendent, fresh out of the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in building construction, and even now as Executive Vice President, he still thinks like one. “We are builders,” Bill says, and that mentality has shaped his rise through nearly every operational role in the company, from the jobsite to senior leadership as a Florida-certified general contractor. 

Today, Bill oversees Kokolakis’ construction operations, including field operations and project management teams, bringing the same hands-on craftsmanship and attention to execution that defined his early career. For Bill, leadership starts with people: getting field teams, project managers, and trade partners all working on the same page so that complex projects come together looking effortless. He’s especially passionate about mentoring the next generation of Kokolakis leaders, passing on the field-tested instincts that come only from decades of building.

Tom is one of Kokolakis’ leading voices on alternative delivery, holding the DBIA designation and championing design-build as a smarter way to deliver complex projects. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University, Tom joined Kokolakis in 2016 as director of operations for the New York region and was promoted to vice president in 2018, where he now leads day-to-day operations across the region — from business development and contract negotiations to safety, quality control, and customer satisfaction throughout the life of a project. 

Tom believes design-build leads to innovation and reduces disputes, and that philosophy has shaped his approach to growing Kokolakis’ presence as a relationship-driven, collaborative builder. He sees his role as much about culture as delivery: leading by example and instilling a sense of integrity in every project his team takes on.

Andria has spent nearly two decades building Kokolakis’ marketing and business development function from the ground up — transforming it from a support function into a strategic engine that drives how the company positions itself in the market. Since joining Kokolakis in 2007 as a Contracts Administrator, she’s risen through Marketing Coordinator and Director of Marketing before being named VP of Marketing and Corporate Secretary in 2024. 

Her biggest impact came in leading the strategic vision behind Kokolakis’ recent rebrand, aligning the company’s story, market positioning, and growth goals as it expands into new regions and takes on more complex work. For Andria, marketing isn’t about flashy promotion, it’s about clarity. “We are not just telling stories; we are shaping perception,” she says, and that discipline shows in how she approaches pursuit strategy, brand consistency, and long-term positioning. Beyond marketing, Andria also manages corporate compliance, ensuring Kokolakis operates in line with applicable laws and regulations as it scales.
