Culture Overview
Join Our Team, and Grow a Culture Unlike Any Other
Kokolakis has always been built on people. As an employee-owned company, everyone here has a real stake in the work and that shared investment shapes everything from how we show up on a job site to how we treat each other off of it.
We look out for one another, give back to the communities we build in, and take pride in what we do together. That’s not something you can put in a policy. It’s just who we are.

Details About Our Internships
If you’re a current student looking to gain experience in the construction industry with a leading company, a Kokolakis internship could be your next step.
Who They’re For
Kokolakis internships are available to current college students enrolled in construction management programs. We actively recruit from universities with strong construction and engineering programs, primarily in FL and NY.
When They Happen
Most Kokolakis internships run for approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer. However, additional opportunities are sometimes available through the academic year depending on project needs and student availability.
How to Get Started
Candidates can apply through their university’s career platforms. After reviewing applications, our HR team at Kokolakis conduct screening calls and interviews to determine the best placement within our company.
Community Involvement
Our Commitment to Community
Kokolakis is committed to being an involved, active community member. That includes repaying the generosity and support we’re given through volunteer and philanthropic efforts.
Each year, our company contributes to charitable causes with which our team members are personally connected, either through local events or through the Kokolakis Foundation. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the people and places connected to our work.

Our new Kokolakis identity is built on the same principles that have guided us for decades: taking ownership, solving problems early, building strong relationships, and delivering work we’re proud to stand behind.
As we look ahead, we’re embracing new challenges, new opportunities, and new ways to deliver value for our clients and communities.
The people, projects, and partnerships behind Kokolakis are what make us Built for This.

The look is new. The experience is proven.
For more than 50 years, we’ve built our reputation on experience, partnership, and the ability to take on projects that demand more than a checklist. That foundation isn’t changing. We’re simply giving it a new expression.
From the way we build to the way we partner, we’re continuing to raise the standard for what a construction manager can be.

We’re proud to celebrate the official completion of The Livery Guesthouse, a 120-year-old historic livery stable thoughtfully reimagined as an eight-room boutique hotel.
As construction manager, our team oversaw the renovation from start to finish, navigating the complexities of modernizing the historic structure while preserving its original character and history.
Projects like The Livery Guesthouse allow us to honor the past while building for what comes next. The project’s use of mass timber construction, including Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and glulam columns and beams, brings modern structural innovation to the historic structure.
We’re proud of the work our team put into this three-year renovation and thankful for Santek Management, Little Architects, Charlestowne Group, and everyone who helped bring this historic property to life.

Today, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Kokolakis is proud to have built the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, designed by @ikon5architects, in New Windsor, NY — a place dedicated to preserving their stories and honoring their service.
