New to the construction industry? An internship with Kokolakis provides hands-on experience and an opportunity to learn about construction processes from our team of experts.

Our interns participate in a wide range of project activities, work closely with industry experts, and gain exposure to both field operations and office-based project management.

Details About Our Internships

If you’re a current student looking to gain experience in the construction industry with a leading company, a Kokolakis internship could be your next step.

Who They’re For

Kokolakis internships are available to current college students enrolled in construction management programs. We actively recruit from universities with strong construction and engineering programs, primarily in FL and NY.

When They Happen

Most Kokolakis internships run for approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer. However, additional opportunities are sometimes available through the academic year depending on project needs and student availability.

How to Get Started

Candidates can apply through their university’s career platforms. After reviewing applications, our HR team at Kokolakis conduct screening calls and interviews to determine the best placement within our company.

Kokolakis is looking for an experienced Senior Proposal Specialist to join our marketing team!
 
What you’ll do:
-Lead the preparation and submission of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), presentations, and interview materials for public and private sector pursuits.
-Collaborate with executives, project managers, estimators, and business development staff to gather information and develop pursuit strategies.
-Write, edit, and proofread proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance with client requirements, and adherence to company branding standards.
-Create and coordinate proposal graphics, layouts, infographics, and other visual elements that enhance the quality and professionalism of submissions.
-Represent the company at pre-proposal meetings, networking events, industry functions, and client meetings as needed.
-Provide support for other marketing and business development initiatives as assigned.

We were proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of Fire Station 24 in North Tampa alongside City of Tampa, Tampa Fire Rescue, ADG Architects, Howard + Associates Architects, Jones Edmunds, and Jane Castor.

Expected to open in fall 2027, this new 17,000-square-foot facility will provide critical support for the North Tampa community and enhance local emergency response capabilities. 

Building features include:

• Four apparatus bays
• Firefighter living quarters
• Administrative spaces
• Training tower

We’re proud to be part of a project that will provide critical infrastructure for the community and support one of the busiest emergency stations in Florida.
